Every 4 years a considerable amount of effort from various citizen groups is exercised to create Platforms and Policy Agendas. Periodic job reviews, product evaluations, education-based grading systems are commonplace in many walks of Life. They are ways of evaluating our actions so that we can adjust our course, learning from past experiences. And yet these evaluations are absent from political policy programs. Create an independent periodic review, evaluation, and grading of Platform and Agenda items. Independent citizen groups could be funded for such a task, perhaps semi-annually. Status reports and assessments would be aired or made available to the public via Public Policy Organizations eg C-Span. Creation of a website would allow ongoing interaction and review of each Platform promise or commitment. This assessment would provide concrete and non-partisan review material for every elected official.
